Design, Advertising, Film, Web, Interactive and Photography. With this I have done award winning work for magazines, design firms, web firms and some of the best ad agencies in the country.
When the web became a dominant medium, I got ahead of the curve by being the 13th person hired at Razorfish. I was then hired as a Senior Interactive Designer by Frankfurt Balkind, a branding agency with many major accounts. There I was responsible for brand building on the web and beyond, handling naming, logos, television, b2b videos and print.
After that I went to Wieden+Kennedy NY as an Art Director to help bring digital expertise in-house and help many of their best accounts build an online presence. On ESPN, Footlocker, and Konami I was creatively responsible for tv, print, digital and beyond.
Based on my work there, I was then brought to LA to be an Associate Creative Director for TBWA Chiat\Day where I was responsible for painstakingly building and transforming the Infiniti car account. I did this through national and international campaigns that were implemented in many mediums and languages. Working on Infiniti I not only got involved in the execution of creative but also the strategy and philosophy of the brand itself. I helped turn it into a major award winning and highly profitable luxury brand in less than three years. My design experience, art direction and leadership won me a silver pencil for my work. I also won the Academy Awards account for the agency.
I was then lured back to NYC by Kirshenbaum Bond Partners to work on Citibank, Panasonic, Wendys, CiT, and iVillage. While working on Panasonic we came up with the term “Famnesia” meaning you work so much that you don’t remember your family. We created a Wikipedia entry for the disease, its symptoms and treatments. It was taken down by the Wiki’s and the agency got into a little trouble, nothing major.
I then moved on to Grey NY where I helped modernize the agency working on brands like Hugo Boss, BMW, The NFL, E*Trade, Ketel One, and the Ted Conference. For Hugo Boss I created a digital platform for the brand that allowed them to reach a whole new markets in an integrated fashion. Originally they were just looking for a wild posting campaign. It got a huge response from consumers, so huge that it brought down their servers a couple of times because of the traffic. I also helped Grey win several new business accounts and created many integrated campaigns that helped the agency become a dominant force in all media.
My philosophy is that agencies and clients need to get back to "the big idea" and that requires a disciplined and cutting edge execution, no matter what the medium. I believe that if you have that powerful idea and really know how to integrate it across multiple platforms, then it’s just a matter of implementing the idea and seeding it properly.
I began my career in the United States Army where I served my country in Operation Desert Storm. I have brought the work ethic, discipline, focus and leadership skills to everything I have done since then. Despite all that work ethic and intensity, I will drop it all at a moments notice to play with my two Maltese dogs, Sadie and Rosie, who have me wrapped around their little paws.
